Yin Yoga & Sound Baths

Restore and Recharge afternoons

Restore and Recharge at the Hare & the Moon

***EXCITING NEW VENUE AND DATES OUT NOW***
Picture
Take a couple of hours out of your day to restore and recharge.

Through gentle yin yoga, calming breathwork, meditation and the healing resonance of sound, we’ll journey inward — balancing out the external intensity of life with quiet, grounding stillness. No experience necessary. Each of our Restore and Recharge afternoons is different and linked to a seasonal theme.

You’ll leave feeling centred, rested and reconnected to what really matters.

New dates. New Venue. Book your place...

We are delighted to announce that from October we will be at the wonderful Hare and the Moon studio on Twickenham Green. Tickets, priced £34.99 each, are out now. Please note that places are limited as The Hare and the Moon is a small, intimate studio, perfect for this practice. As before, the actual practice is 2 hours long but there is no need to rush off - you are welcome to stay for tea and chocolate afterwards, giving yourself time to "come round" slowly before heading home.

October: Letting Go

Picture
**Sunday 12th October, 2.30-4.30pm**
Join us for a blissful Autumnal afternoon of relaxation and letting go - Yin Yoga, Meditation, Sound Bath, tea and chocolate! The intention is that you will leave feeling restored, recharged and re-energised - a perfect practice for this time of year. The theme will be "Letting Go" as we turn to nature and see how Autumn is a season that invites us to release and surrender - to let go of what no longer serves us. It is a time of year where it is useful to find practices that help us slow down and be grounded.

November: Gratitude

**Sunday 16th November, 2.30-4.30pm**
Our November theme is Gratitude. It will be an opportunity to rest, restore and recharge, allowing you to slow down, relax and turn inwards - perfect for this time of year, ahead of the winter months. The Yin Yoga and meditation practice will relax the body, calm the mind and allow you to turn inwards and the Sound Bath will transport you to a place of deep relaxation. Tea and chocolate will be served at the end.

December: Self-care and celebration

Picture
**Sunday 7th December, 2.30-4.30pm**
The last in-person event of the year. This will be a wonderful afternoon of self-care and celebration, an opportunity to slow down and rest and focus on yourself at this busy time of year. Our practice will tie in to the season of winter when the days are shorter and colder, nature seems to fall into a deep stillness and there is a strong calling to slow down, rest, stay warm and cosy and find stillness and quiet. Followed by complimentary tea and cake and time to chat.

Meet your hosts

Sarah Greenall has been practising yoga since 2002 and teaching since 2015. "Through my own personal practice, the many trainings I’ve undertaken and my years of teaching, I’ve come to deeply recognise the need to slow down — to pause, to rest and to return to stillness. In a world that moves quickly and clamours for our attention, I believe in creating spaces that offer a space to be, a space to breathe and a chance to reconnect. I believe taking time out for yourself isn’t a luxury but an essential part of living well."
Reshma Pankhania (www.energy-alchemist.co.uk) has always felt a deep connection to energy and intuition. She says "these gifts have been with me for as long as I can remember, quietly shaping the way I move through the world." It was during the stillness of the pandemic that she felt called to share her gifts in service to others. At the heart of her work is a belief in energetic alchemy. Reshma creates space for you to slow down, release what no longer serves and realign with your natural flow. Whether you're navigating change or seeking more presence, you are warmly welcomed into her work.
Our October afternoon will be our 12th event working together, having developed an excellent, united working relationship built on trust and shared beliefs.

FAQs about the "Restore & Recharge" afternoons...

Who is this for?

These sessions are for anyone who wants to rest, relax and reconnect. If you're happy to get down onto a yoga mat, you're welcome - no experience needed. Please note: sound baths are not suitable if you’re in your first trimester of pregnancy. If you are further on in your pregnancy please make sure we are aware.

The Yin Yoga - will I be able to do it?
Yes! As long as you can get down onto a mat, you can join in. No yoga experience is needed.

What is Yin Yoga?
Yin is a quiet, contemplative practice that targets the deepest tissues of the body (the connective tissues, the fascia, ligaments and joints), quietens the mind and melts away stress. We actively hold each pose for a few minutes - supported by props - allowing the body and mind to soften and release tension. Most of the poses are done on the floor, seated or lying down. No dynamic flows, just stillness, breath and presence. Yin Yoga has close ties with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

What if I can’t do a pose?
That’s absolutely fine. You can simply lie down and rest while I guide you with breath, poetry, or gentle suggestions. Modifications are always offered - and resting is always welcome.

New to yoga or Yin?
No problem at all. I will guide you through everything step-by-step.

What should I wear and/or bring?
Just wear loose comfortable clothes (no jeans or tight waists) that you can move and breathe in easily. No need to bring anything, unless you'd like to bring your own mat and/or blanket. All props - mats, blankets, bolsters, bricks and blocks are provided. You might like to bring an eye pillow or alternative covering for your eyes.

The Sound Bath - what is it?
You’ll be lying down, cosy and supported, while you're “bathed” in sound from crystal bowls, chimes and gongs. Their vibrations will help switch off your thinking mind and shift your brainwaves to a deeper place of calm. Sound baths have been found to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and enhance overall well-being. A previous attendee has repeatedly shown us how their smartwatch records a huge boost in energy and "body battery" during these restful sessions. NB You can also sit in a chair or lean against a wall if that’s more comfortable for you.

What if I’m unsure about Sound Baths?
That’s totally normal. I will admit my first one left me feeling a little out of sorts as I wasn't sure what to expect - but afterwards, I felt incredibly calm and amazing. Sound Baths can shift energy and emotions and sometimes that feels intense. But every session is different and being open to the experience helps. The deep rest and reset that follows is worth it and many people find the experience sublime.

What else will we do?
We’ll also explore breathwork and a guided meditation linked to the theme of the afternoon. At the end, there's no need to rush off, there's time to connect, chat, eat some chocolate (provided!) and ease gently back into your day.
"Wonderful sessions - a lovely curation of movement flow, energy shifting and deep sound healing. Can’t wait for the next one! "

General Ts and Cs for all events:
- Please note that all tickets are non refundable but may be transferable (to another person or future event) if more than 48 hours' notice is provided, on a discretionary basis.
- If this event is sold out then it is worth joining the waitlist as there are sometimes cancellations.
"Just to say how much I enjoyed the mini retreat. Such a great way to spend the afternoon. Felt so relaxed afterwards, but also felt like I had moved my body as well."
