ABOUT ME

I know what it feels like to feel chronically stressed and burnt out, to be physically and emotionally drained and in total overwhelm. I also know how it feels to feel aligned, connected, balanced and vitalised. For me, yoga has been transformational. Through my various yoga teacher trainings I am bursting with knowledge and I am passionate about sharing it with you so you too can feel great!

MORE THAN A SHAPE ON THE MAT

Yoga is so much more than a practice we do on our yoga mat. It is a philosophy with love, joy and kindness at its core and it affects the way we think, act and speak. Yes, we learn how to move well and breathe well but we also learn how to connect inwards and find a peacefulness that provides true contentment that can radiate out to those around us. That's what I love most about yoga.

I have been practising yoga for over 21 years - since the birth of my eldest child. Without a doubt, yoga - be it the physical practice, the breathing, the meditation or philosophy - has helped me through the ups and downs of life and has been a steady constant which I can rely on. That is why I now teach, I want to share the knowledge I have gained so others too can reap the benefits of this wonderful ancient practice, allowing them to navigate their way through life well.

None of us know what life holds for us. I firmly believe we should make the most of what we have, while we have it. Let's live well and age well.

LIFE IS PRECIOUS

Life is short and keeping mentally and physically fit for as long as possible is vital. Maintaining one's vitality and independence allows us to do all the things we want to do in life and I believe yoga can truly help us live our best life. Yoga can help us make good choices to live a fulfilled, meaningful, happy life. 

​I endeavour to make yoga accessible for all, dispelling the myth that you have to be young, thin and bendy, wearing a crop top and tying yourself in an impossible pretzel shape! I offer options and levels for all abilities and ages. As Krishnamacharya, the father of modern yoga, said "If you can breathe, you can do yoga".
