"I have definitely noticed an improvement in my balance which used to be excellent when I was younger but was definitely worsening as I aged."
As we get older our body changes - joints get stiffer, everything feels a little creakier, our balance worsens and it gets more challenging to maintain fitness levels. It is so important to keep mobile, flexible and strong so we can live the life we want to live and do all the things we want to do, especially when we finally have more time to spend on ourselves.

Perhaps you used to practise yoga years ago and then stopped when life got too busy, or you always wanted to do it but never had the time. Now you have the time why not join this friendly class to keep your body strong, mobile and flexible and your mind calm and relaxed.

My gentle yoga class could be just right for you. Join me on Monday afternoons at 2pm and/or Thursday mornings at 10am in Hampton Hill or view one of my
on-demand videos and practise at home.

"The breath exercises calm the mind and the final relaxation lets you leave the class balanced and invigorated, ready to face the challenges of the day (and the world)".
This gentle yoga class works with classic yoga postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), occasional  meditation and always a relaxation at the start and end of class. Good for your mind, body and soul.

This is a mat-based practice that is slower than the Mixed Level class, with less getting up and down from the floor. I offer lots of options enabling you to work at the level that is right for you and allowing for any issues with hips, knees, backs or shoulders.

We always work with balance and strength as it is so important to maintain these as we age. FYI, w
e don't practise the regular Sun Salutations in this class, so we avoid the lunge/plank/8 limb pose/cobra/downward dog vinyasa (if you know, you know - don't worry if that didn't make sense!).

If it's helpful I offer props (such as a chair shown here) to help us feel safe, steady and supported in our poses, especially balances. There is never any judgement, pressure or expectation. I encourage everyone to work at the level that is right for them.

This is a Gentle Hatha Yoga class suitable for all levels (beginners welcome), abilities and experience. Classes are 75 minutes allowing enough time for relaxation at the beginning and end, some breathwork and a proper warm up (so often missed in 60 minute classes). I always talk through the poses step by step and offer modifications to suit all.

Please note this is a mat-based class and some of the class is done seated on the floor, some standing and we start and end lying down in relaxation. Classes are £15 pay-as-you-go, or £13 if you buy a Class Pass of 10 classes.
